Hi! My name is Clara and I use she/they pronouns. I'm a Portland, Oregon-raised AEA Stage Manager and Freelance Production Manager currently based in Seattle, Washington! As the eldest of four, leadership came naturally to me. I grew up a performer and educator in the arts and intended to continue along that path as a young professional.

I have roots in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA), new works, musical theatre, and puppetry - all facets of theatrical production I hope to continue in. I am a strong believer in the power of arts education and how we can ensure inclusivity in that pedagogy through meaningful collaboration and compassion.

 

Academically, I attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's in Theatre and minors in Leadership and Linguistics! Knowing I wanted to continue my path in Stage Management but feeling unprepared to enter the field, I furthered my studies as a Master's candidate in Stage Management at the California Institute of the Arts.

I believe learning is the cornerstone for great leadership, and I hope to follow this mantra through my work as a Stage and Production Manager.
